Ceramics studio · Est. 2016
Objects made slowly,
by hand.
Ceramics for everyday rituals, thrown and glazed in a small studio by the sea. Released in small batches, four times a year.
Autumn batch, no. 14
The autumn batch
36 pieces. When they are gone, they are gone.
“I want every cup to feel a little different in the hand. That is the whole point of making it yourself.”

From clay to table
- I
Throw
Each piece starts as a ball of local clay, centered and pulled on the wheel.
- II
Trim
A day later it is turned upside down and carved to its final, lighter form.
- III
Glaze
Glazes are mixed by hand in small batches, so no two pieces are the same.
- IV
Fire
Two firings, the last one at 2,300°F, make it strong enough for every day.
Saturdays in the studio
